In addition to Kairi's Drive Forms and her D-Links, she can perform another sort of magic called Limits. These can be used while in battle and definitely work in a pinch. You can see an example here performed with Riku and then here is another one with each person they're compatible with. Additionally, you can view what the Kingdom Hearts wiki has tto say about them here.

Character's Name: Naoki | Demi-Fiend
Limit's Name: Der Freischütz

Limit's Attacks:
Focus - Charges own potential damage by 2.5 for the next Physical skill used.
Fog Breath - Poisons and lowers the speed of all the creatures around them.
Freikugel - Attack that pierces enemy defenses and deals almighty damage. It can one-shot most creatures.

Limit's Finisher:
Naoki stretches out his legs like before a footrace as Kairi readies her weapon. He then raises his hand and initiates a Focus for the both of them. At a silent nod together, they both charge at the enemy, she using her keyblade (with appropriate spells), and he with his hands (that are on fire mind you), grabbing monsters and throwing them at each other.

Suddenly Naoki grabs Kairi by her legs and holds her over him as he runs right into the enemy group, unleashing the Fog Breath which poisons and lowers the speed of all the creatures around them. This done, he throws her she can do major damage as she flies by, and he runs at the end faster than the speed he threw her, holding out both his his hands so she can use them to propel herself right back into the group again, and attack a second time. This time Naoki charges up, his tattoos glowing before he unleashes a Freikugel, piercing the largest target in the remaining monster group. The explosion from the attack causes damage to the nearby enemies and sends everything flying, including Kairi.

The Finisher ends with Naoki looking around wondering where she is before Kairi lands next to him, giving him a bonk on his elbow with her keyblade while he scratches the back of his neck.

Character's Name: Cross's Blanchard
Limit's Name: Hero's Light
Limit's Attacks: The first session of attacks
Pin point disable - Cross and Kairi move at faster speeds than normal (probably because Kairi supplying light power) move around hitting enemies with a few quick punches that daze/injure foes
Boot to the head - Kairi and Cross deliver fast kicks to enemies head. Their feet will be covered in light.
Second Session
Knives away! - Cross supplies Kairi with knives in which she can encase with light that let out small explosions on impact
Spinning Swords - Kairi and Cross toss their swords that spin like raid attacks vertically and horizontally, and charged with magic (whatever magic it is is up to Kairi)
Limit's Finisher: Optimists Shine - So for this uber finisher, Kairi and Cross just leap into the air. Cross lets loose a large handful of his bombs (flash and explosive) and Kairi will connect them all with the power of light. They will all clash together and unleash a giant explosion, something akin to the explosion that consumed Ansem the wise.

Character's Name: Yu Narukami
Limit's Name: Shinjitsu no Kamen (真実の仮面 lit. trans. "Mask of Truth")
Limit's Attacks:
Ragnarok - Causes a pillar of fire in one area hot and large enough to severely burn opponents, courtesy of Mada's flames which lick at their blades as though they were dampened with sake while they strike at the same time.
Niflheim - Causes massive icicles to fall from the sky as they strike out, causing severe Ice damage as Beelzebub raises his skeletal staff. Magic abilities seem stronger for them as a wave of energy falls over them (Mind Charge effect).
In the second stage, once either of the above have been used enough...
Thunder Reign - Inflicts massive Elec/Thunder damage as they strike, lightning bolts raining down in a massive circle around them as they join hands beneath Kohryu's protective dragon coils.
Panta Rhei - Both Kairi and Yu hold out their hands as Odin appears between them and holds up his staff. Wind begins to swirl to life around them, causing severe damage to those caught in the cyclone they hover in at the center.
Limit's Finisher: Victory Cry
Yu waves a hand over his face as though he is pulling down a mask as Kairi readies herself, each preparing in their own way whilst sparks of light begin to congregate in a circle around them. While doing so, a series of two golden hammers appear on either side of their opponents and slam them into the ground on both sides, effectively reducing them to half their health/endurance (God's Judgement). One nod to each other, and they're both slashing at whatever enemies have congregated (Vorpal Blade).

They soon end up back to back again after a Hassou Tobi (multiple light-damage physical strikes). Izanagi-no-Okami soon hovers over the both of them, unleashing a cry as pure light falls around them, healing the pair (Victory Cry) while burning them with almighty damage (Megidolaon).
